Candidate / Legal

Candidate provides a job search workspace. For privacy questions or requests, contact replies.candidate@gmail.com.
We use account and workspace information to provide the service you request, which is generally necessary to perform our contract with you. We use billing information to provide and manage Candidate Pro and to meet accounting or legal obligations. We use limited technical information to keep the service secure and reliable, based on our legitimate interests or legal obligations as appropriate.
If you use AI features, relevant content may be sent to an AI service to generate a response. Do not submit information you do not have permission to share.
We use providers for authentication, hosting and storage, analytics when enabled, AI features when used, and subscription billing. These may include Clerk, PostHog, RevenueCat, Stripe and configured AI providers. They process information for their respective services under their own terms or our instructions. Some providers may process data outside the UK; appropriate legal safeguards apply where required.
We use access controls and other reasonable measures to protect your information. We keep workspace data while your account is active and then for as long as needed to handle deletion, disputes, security and legal obligations. Billing records may need to be kept longer for legal or accounting reasons. Contact us to ask about a specific retention period or deletion request.
Optional product analytics are off unless you choose “Allow analytics” in Candidate’s privacy choice panel. Before that choice, Candidate does not initialize PostHog or send analytics events. If allowed, PostHog receives pseudonymous pageviews and approved product events, including an internal Candidate user identifier after sign-in; it does not receive workspace text or contact details. You can change or withdraw this choice at any time using “Privacy choices” at the bottom of the page. Your choice is stored in a same-site cookie for 180 days.
Depending on your location and the reason for processing, you may be able to access, correct, erase or export your personal data, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us to make a request. If you are in the UK, you may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
We may update this policy as Candidate changes and will post the updated date here. Contact replies.candidate@gmail.com with privacy questions. Our Terms of Service explain the subscription and service terms.
